G'day all -
One of the things I really miss now I've ditched Opera and come over to K-Meleon is the rather wonderful "Wand". Some of you may know this is tied up with the password manager, but has a heap of fields which you could put almost anything into, and the Wand would see what you type into a form and attempt to pre-fill the field.
Actually, I don't want anything so cumbersome!!!! (well, not tied up with the Password manager, because I don't use and don't trust password managers.)
But, looking back thru these forums, in this 2001 thread
, I see that "Autocomplete for forms is already in. Autocomplete for URLs can't be added yet, ..."
What I really want is a simple extension/macro/widget with about a dozen fields (possibly extendable?) which would be a database for auto-completing form fields. My feeling is that making it part of the browser core would be too much bloat -- which is what happened to Opera, Firefox, IE, Netscape...
Unfortunately, I have no programming skills these days: they disappeared with Fortran and Cobol.

Television is the first truly democratic culture -- the first culture available to everyone and entirely governed by what the people want. The most terrifying thing is what people do want. [Clive Barnes, 1969]
