No Error Dialogs??

I'm using K-Meleon 0.3, and when an error occurs (e.g. Host not found), no error message appears.

Shouldn't there be a dialog telling me what failed?

PS: What do I need to compile K-Meleon? The self-compiled Mozilla Source Code?
