SSL Bug Fix for FireFox 3.5.2 KM also?

"A Firefox update released today fixes a recently disclosed flaw in the way Firefox 3.0 and other programs handle SSL certificates, which are used for (theoretically) secure online communications."

http://www.pcworld.com/article/169590/firefox_update_fixes_serious_ssl_other_bugs.html

P.S. This from Mozilla: "Mozilla said three of its other products - Thunderbird, SeaMonkey and NSS - are vulnerable to the same attack. Presumably, fixes for those applications will be forthcoming."

After compiling me a nightly 1.8 GRE yesterday I had a closer look into my .GRE_checkout.log.

Many lines had this string and anounced changes to the component:

mozilla/security/nss/

and e.g. subcomponents

mozilla/security/nss/lib/ssl/

Is that what You did have in mind when You asked?

Looks like the next private or official update of k-meleon 1.5 will have that smiling smiley

Guenter,

Don't know for sure... am acting solely upon the hints I found in the MozillaZine Forums (Seamonkey). It does sound like it though, as it is the SSL issue they were raising.
