I don't like Firefox, and my choice is K-Meleon, but I can't answer for others.
I haven't tried disrupted tool, but I think that for a lot of bad pages it ought to do the trick.
After, if I really need to display correctly the page, I use right-click and Open with Firefox (or IE) if needed.
Under Linux, IE isn't ok, but it doesn't trouble me at all
