K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
UTF-8 bookmarks are not showing right. There are some underscores instead letters. It's maybe a bug, but maybe not. I can't find option in preferences about that. Please help.
it's about k-meleon 1.5 netscape bookmarks and cyrilic letters
there is same problem with history
i'm not sure if this will work but try it anyways.
for nt systems(2000,xp,.net etc)-(might require your windows installation cd)
open windows control panel> open regional and language settings
in regional/language settings, click on the advanced tab
under select a language to match the language version of...
select 'russian' from the drop-down box,apply and reboot
for 9x(will require cd)
open control panel>add/remove programs
select windows components tab>click add
select"add support for eastern-european languages" from the list, apply and reboot
sorry for lattency. It worked for history, but for bookmarks didn't
what's your windows version?
also.. i think if it worked for history, it should work for bookmarks.. i'm not sure how bookmarks work, if they are in xml or html format then they have been formatted with the wrong characters.. try to delete them and import them again from netscape.

windows xp sp1. i imported bookmarks from firefox and that is ok but, when i add new bookmark with k-meleon, that is not ok
Perhaps because K-Meleon bookmarks aren't added utf-8 encoded ?

when i type cyrilic in "Add Bookmark" dialog bookmark is ok but problem arise when i do ctrl-D or "Add Page", then in "Title" field (on Add Bookmark dialog) instead of cyrilic letters are question marks. Also when in some group i do "Add bookmark here" there are saved question marks.
