I hace been using K-Meleon for months and have enjoyed it vey much.So much that i have used it to bookmark all the sites I use for a sprcial project.
Suddenly yesterday the BOOKMARKS i use dissappeared leaving on the last 8 folders i had created.
Can someone please help me recover.
I tried a restore but that didnt change anything
Your Profiles folder contains a file called bookmarks_backup.html.
Have a look if You did not use bookmarks.html since the problem started - If You did not the file will have/contain the old bookmarks data. Load and inspect it. If it does - just rename the file into bookmarks.html.
p.s. There is an extension that creates 7 regular backups (for each day of the week - since sometimes You do not notice a fault right away, after a week it overwrites the day) for Profile data especially of the bookmarks. alain offers it for download and use.
I know no way to recover data from a changed bookmarks file.
