I have noticed that the browser runs normally (K-M1.0.2 on Win 98SE) until I decide to shut the computer down.

Then I get a message like 'This program has performed an illegal operation - contact your <blah> if it persists.'

This is not a big issue, as the browser is running smoothly - its just that it happens at the end of an otherwise smooth session, indicating a bug somewhere in the termination of the K-M app. Is this a known K-M issue? Or do I need to look more closely at my local set-up. (BTW I get no other alerts from other apps during shutdown)

It happens when the window is open at time of 'shutdown'

Does It crashs all the time even If you just start it and close it?

No. If I exit K-M and then I 'shutdown', then there is no problem.

The problem happens when the browser is open and I shut down my portable (ie 'Start' > 'Shut down' > shutdown or restart

i seem to get this when i am looking at my yahoo emails. it does not seem to happen while at any other website other than when i am reading my emails in yahoo. i will be halfway through reading an email when the pop-up box appears with 'this program has performed an illegal operation', it will then close every browser window that i have open at the time. it can be quite annoying at times.

I think we are talking about two different cases. I have no problem while browsing... (I log into Yahoo mail regularly BTW), only during shutdown, while the browser is still open

I can log into yahoo, i just cant log into my messenger. Thats when I get the pop up of performing an illegal operation. HOw do I fix this?

Hattest du diesen Fehler auch schon bei 1.1.4 oder bei früheren Versionen?

Ich habe nur ME oder Xp zum testen. Resultat: unauffällig = kein Crasch/Absturz.


p.s. dafür ärgere ich mich über mein Vista System - Nix geht so wie es soll.
