K-Meleon Forum
Hi,
I am quite new to K-Meleon and I must say I really happy with it so far (just installed the single instance script), I use it on my secondary pc an old IBM Aptiva a K6-2 450Mhz with 265Mo Pc100 running windows 2000 pro SP4.
I have an issue tho, hotmail won't sign in when I use K-Meleon (works fine in IE)
everytime I enter my login and password I get a pop up saying "the document contains no data" after half a minute or so.
other emails like yahoo works fine.
Any ideas?
Change the browser ID in Edit > Preferences > Privacy to IE6.

I don't have any problem connecting to my account at hotmail.
What version of KM do you use?
Have you tried purging the cache and retrying?
i don't have a problem with hotmail either.....i have the newest version (.8.1) and my browser's identity is K-Meleon .8.1 .....

I found the problem... it's me!
I didn't put the proxy for SSL...
I want to sign in to hotmail.com
Are you not able to sign in? If not, your proxy configuration may be the problem, if you use a proxy as the aforementioned K-Meleon user.

Hotmail has always worked fine for me.
But I've found an issues with it (not in this version but in all K-Meleon versions):
Some of the (I presume) most complex e-mail links do not open properly. For example, when you receive a message from eBay about an item about to end it's auction, when you click on the view item link you got redirected to eBay but eBay shows an error message about item not existing. On Internet Explorer this kind of links works fine.
Hotmail email is not fuctional! Won't let me sign in.
Maybe try to activate java script?

Can anyone who has hotmail confirm these problems,
or is it only temporary for the various people complaining,

my hotmail is in arabic so i want it to be in english.
I dont have any box or read any mail
I do not use Hotmail so I do not know the interface.
My idea: Try an English User Agent String:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20
And set Preferred accept language to English (e.g. via via URL about:confg).
It may be the HotMail automatically detects Your language settings.
@ sonya: Make sure Cookies and JavaScript is allowed and use Firefox as User Agent String setting: Like suggested at the beginning of this thread. It is easy to do with K-Meleon.
Hotmail has a severe bug in its browser recognition scripts. Hotmail, Yahoo mail, GMail and some other sites do not correctly detect compatible browsers.
