Whenever I click on a link at this site, I get the following error message: http://sports.espn.go.com/devedge/xbProjects/_files/errors/not-supported.html

I have no problems opening these links with IE 5.5 or Opera 6..

What could be causing this ?

Frank,

The EPSN site "sniffs" for the browser and doesn't recognize K-Meleon. You can spoof your identity and trick it into thinking you are IE 6 or some other browser by changing the browser identification under:

Edit - Preferences - Privacy

and changing the Browser Identification. Once I changed mine to IE 6, the ESPN site let me right in!

Frank,

Cool. Yet another example of K-Meleon's flexibility!

It would be better to set KM to fake itself as Netscape 6 if that will also work, because otherwise you're helping IE's stats.

it sucks when 'solving' the problem is also Perpetuating the Problem...

maybe a macro that sends off a nasty mail to the webmaster of any site that forces posing as IE is in order... smiling smiley
