Won't start on my Windows 95 in the office (950a with many of those windows updates), has IE3.0 but no IE4/5. Has McAfee Virus Scan.
Had previously installed Mozilla (16 I think), but was uninstalled and the mozilla files in C:\windows were removed.
What happens:
When I try to launch (using desktop/menu icon) it seems as if it's loading (the hdd makes the usual noise), the mouse pointer locks up noticeably from time to time. Then some more noise, and then that's it. Nothing appears at all.
Any ideas? I'd love to have a small plain SSL capable browser which has a Netscape v3.0 style interface (so I can turn images on/off easily). Opera has too many annoying things about it.

same thing on win98se... thinkpad laptop p266 has IE5 never had mozilla

You can talk about issues with k-meleon here. But please, for confirmed bugs, use the bug tracker to report and give feedback on bugs.
