Both while using K-Meleon 74 Beta 4 / 1.5.4 (unpatched/Update 4) and the latest RC release i can't download via K-Meleon update 3, Update 4 and the RC release. (and yes, i'm aware i don't need the updates for the RC release)
I can post the whole "code" if needed.
Anyone else having this problem?

It' a known problem with 7z files (probably due to websites which don't gives mimetypes.

The RCC code is like this: K-Meleon74RCC dot 7z dot txt.
As JujuLand says "right click and save."
Once you have the file saved, you can rename K-Meleon74RCC dot 7z dot txt to K-Meleon74RCC dot 7z and use 7-Zip to extract the contents.
The interesting part is that this only happens when downloading a file with the .7z extension hosted here, on SourceForge. I downloaded files with the .7z extension hosted on other sites and the download process starts normally without any issues.
Because, as I said in the past, in other thread, in other subforums, this hosting (kmeleon.sf.net, not the whole sf.net) has problems with binaries.
It's not a K-meleon bug, it's a server misconfiguration.
As I said, the server sends the files as plain/text.
For example, if you go here, you don't have that problem:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/files/k-meleon/1.5.4/
But there is not where the webpage is hosted. It's another "section" of the space for the kmeleon project.

Any file that is issued by HTTP protocol has an additional header, which indicates its type. He is given the title Content-type. If it is clearly wrong - for example, shaking 7z archive, and in the type of written text / html, then it is a problem with the server configuration, "Content-Disposition" header field, I guess.
No opportunity to edit Preferences-File Handling-By type. I tried to change one of the records (eg 3gpp) manually in the browser files (and then edit an existing entry, giving her property "Save them on my computer"), but the attempt was unsuccessful. Maybe someone did it?
