1. What version of K-Meleon are you trying to run?
2. That would be difficult to do. Just put the plugin into the plugins directory.
3. K-Meleon 74 RC supports HTML5.
hi dpak4u, unless Your system is older than XP You'd use 74. If You have 98/win2000 with Kernel Extenders You'd use 1.6/1.7 which partially support html 5. If You have win98/2000 without that feature You cannot have html 5.
K-Meleon is a GUI for the Gecko Rendering Engine / Mozilla's HTML rendering engine, the same GRE as Firefox. Each K-Meleon version uses its contemporary engine. To get all of html 5 You'd need the K-Meleon with the newest engine.
PC resources are about the same for all versions on the K-Meleon side.
The newer GRE are more resource hungry.
There is a thread and download pages in General Forum about interesting, specially patched Flash dll. Some of them are for legacy, old systems and K-Meleons.
Older Flash plugin files are also on the K-Meleon extensions pages.
Greetings from Germany to India.
p.s. hi 2 Zero 2,
1.) K-Meleon 1.5.x or earlier. Official 1.0 - 1.5.4 were compiled with VC 7.1.
2.) Exactly. Flash plugins for Mozilla browsers, names are Npswf32.dll, are all portable when placed in ./K-Meleon/plugins.
3.) Absolutely!
