I have lately quite often been getting the following message while browsing:
"Warning: unresponsive script
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding, You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Buttons: "Stop script" and "Continue""
What is this?
I am using XP Pro SP3 and K-meleon 1.5.2
A JavaScript on the page is taking too long to execute.
Pages should be programmed that a browser a normal PC (not to old and slow) do not time out. But some are not - and some old PC are also around.
If You want to extend the timeout? Preference: dom.max_script_run_time
How: alter pref via URL
Or alter pref via Edit > Configuration > Browser-Configuartion
Another thought: look into K-Meleon's error console, it can be also caused by a bug in the script and it will never get finished.

Thank you guenter! I changed the script run time from 10 to 30, and now it seems to work. And yes, old computer (but that is why I want K-meleon):
Intel Pentium 498 MHz, RAM 256 MB

I like solved problems.
Your machine is better than what i use online.
P III 500 192 MB
IMHO that is sufficient except on the new script heavy pages.
You can talk about issues with k-meleon here.
