Hi all,

I'm running K-meleon 1.6.0 and I'm expeiencing my computer locking up whenever I either start downloading a file, start a Youtube video or even start loading a new page, most notably blogs, which often are "long".

For example when starting watching a Youtube video, the video freezes on the first image of the video, and doesn't resume (I guess) untill the whole file has downloaded. The audio continues though.

Any ideas?

Aaahhh... Please can you tell us which OS, and what type of connection (Dial-up/Broadband/etc) you have? And are you on a LAN?

Hi Ronery -

When you download a file, or load a new (big) page, what happens? (You've already told us that YouTube videos "freeze" the video part but the audio continues.) Can you do anything with the browser or the OS while KM is "frozen"? For example, change to a new tab, change to a different app?

And does this behaviour happen only with certain sites, or just all the time? For example, if you went to http://www.abc.net and looked at their videos, would KM freeze?

The problem had nothing to do with K-Meleon. It was due to an incompatible SSD, sorry.

You should update your window OS and BIOS settings if its virus issued then scan your system with updated antivirus.
