Hello,

it's pretty cool, that the .82 doesn't crash anymore (the focus thingi).
but something is strange and introduced with this version.
after open a new window the cursor goes automatically to urlbar. ready for typing!

just til now with 0.81 and earlier!
just installed the 0.82 and the focus isn't anymore on urlbar after hitting ctrl+n.

can anyone confirm?

regards Ooze

You're right! When I press my "New Layer" button the focus IS on the URL bar Ooze. However, when I press Ctrl+n it opens a new layer and the focus is NOT in the URL bar! I never noticed that because I never use keyboard shortcuts except occasionally for my own Ctrl+m for my email client. winking smiley

Learnt something new! And with my short-term memory problems I'll forget it in 10 minutes. sad smiley >sigh<

But at least I could confirm it for you. At least I think this is what you were looking for Ooze?

À la prochaine!

If you're using the default macros file then if a blank page is opened the focus will automatically be given to the URL bar.

The following should be in your OnLoad macro in the # EVENT MACROS section:

$URL=""; $URL == "about:blank" ? id(ID_SELECT_URL) : "";

damn it, the macro-plugin was the only plugin i clicked away on installation.

after copying the macro.dll in '..\kplugins' it worked with enabled macro-plugin (the EVENT MACRO was already in).
but would be cool it would work without the macro.dll like in earlier versions!

anyway this solution satisfied me grinning smiley!
