Re: Research project of builtin spellchecker

Default order is same with seamonkey and firefox. I see it is useful more than alphabetical order.

spelltest-0.0.5.zip

* Can change order of suggestions list to alphabetical.
* Change preference name
"spelltest.dictDir" -> "kmeleon.plugins.spelltest.dictDir"
"spelltest.position" -> "kmeleon.plugins.spelltest.position"
* Can change max length of suggestions list.

Thanks.

@mark307,

Humm, in fact, for the alphabetic order, I was just thinking of the lang list, not the suggestions list.

Sorry for not having been precise.

I'll correct the macros for pref names.

Thanks

spelltest-0.0.6.zip

* The order of dictionaries list to alphabetical.

Thanks.

@mark307,

I have now a little problem I don't understand.

Spelltest is always disabled after launching K-Meleon, I must enable it each time I launch K-Meleon.

I have these prefs set concerning spelltest:

kmeleon.plugin.spelltest.load true
kmeleon.plugin.spelltest.dictDir c:\Program Files\k-meleon\dictionaries
spellchecker/dictionary fr-FR

The possibility to change dictionary folder works ok, the sorted list too.

The problem occurs in default folder or customized folder, and for 1.1.4 and 1.5a2 versions. The previous version of spelltest.dll had also the problem.

Looking at the source, it seems that the problem could be here:

rv = ispell->GetEnableRealTimeSpell(&is_enabled);
NS_ENSURE_SUCCESS(rv, FALSE);
if (! is_enabled) {

is_enabled is probably always false

[Edit at 22:30]
It seems to be due to a profile, and curious thing with 1.1.4 and 1.5a2, on my work notebook, it's ok for my home desktop.
Sorry

K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe

I am using K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe with 1.5a1 and all it does is underline in red the words that may be misspelled. This is fine, but is there a way to make K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe use the Windows dictionary and suggest spellings as the Windows spell check does?

Thank you.

Charlie

@ Charlie, I have answered on General Forum.

As you have put a post here, can you tell me if the problem I have to enable the spellchecker each time ?

I haven't it with older spelltest.dll version, but it ought also to be due to the profile.

Thanks.

That was interesting.

Thanks for the link, but for now, I think this version works fine with K-Meleon and I think It's enough.

I'll purpose to kko and Dorian to incorporate it by default in next builds. With perhaps an inclusion in kmprefs.

Thanks
