Time to say "goodbye Km..."

Hi!

I just wanted to express my general disappointement... i'have to say goodbye to this browser... even if it is not a bad browser!

Why?

-> Can't log on several sites
-> Not possible to get icons for the bookmarks toolbar
-> Favorites can't be opennend in a new layer thanks to a right click
-> Don't remember some identifications data
-> Problems with my online harddisk (use a java application)

But!

-> incredibly light! and that the most important point to me!

I wish I had better skills in order to improve it but I can't!! Maybe I'm just too used to FFox!

Anyway I want to say "good luck" to this project, and I'll keep an eye on it!

oh well. see ya next time, Nikelaos.

there are some sites out there that just dont work properly with Kmeleon and Opera web browsers. many of them should work OK with IE and Firefox/Mozilla/Seamonkey browsers.

Yup, I also found this problem.

It seems that k-meleon doesn't support AJAX, right?
New interface for Yahoo mail is not work now.

Ajax? As far as i can see k-meleon normally supports the same web things as Firefox (except Firefox Extensions ;-) // Is New Yahoo mail Ajax?

New Yahoo Mail works when i set my k-meleon to spoof FFox string:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.8) Gecko/20061025 Firefox/1.5.0.8 ( because that has almost the same GRE version as k-meleon1.02de-AT ).

When I go with browser as k-meleon Yahoo redirects me to a page that says new Mail does not work :-(

Sorry, Yahoo! Mail Beta does not support your browser.
You can either download a compatible browser or proceed to the original Yahoo! Mail.

Yahoo suggests that i switch to other browser and even offers to support obsolete slow ones:

* Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher (for Windows)
* Firefox 1.0 or higher (for Mac and Windows)
* Mozilla 1.7 or higher (for Mac and Windows)
* Netscape 7.2 or higher (for Windows)

So i switch my browser name in Preferences privacy before i go there :-P

p.s. I am not going to look into the mouth of a gift horse but i would sure complain if i payed for Yahoo mail service.

Uck, yes, I frequently sneak around with an IE mask on my 'meleon. Other times, things just don't work. There are some text formatting controls that use active-x. Some of those kind of things need something that my system doesn't always have - I know this because the same site will work one time and not another. But I have used K-M for years now, and I love it more than ever.
