Hi! I just wonder if there is a way to intergrate winamp in K-Meleon? To be the default player to play mediafiles at webpages in general. Can someone tell me that?

Have you tried to use Mtypes editor, and to change the entries concerned?

I once did it with a macro, not really an integration, just to call for it on the media links, the problem was that Winamp (was an old version) was not able to manage thi media type.

Now I use Media Player Classic and I can perfectly use it.

I agree it's better to use MPC.

You tell the mimetype editor the way to that *.exe what You want to open the specific mimetype. (That is one way & must be done for each mimtype.)

Another way (better?):
Normally (known mimtypes are opened by system default ) most programs have a setting: "make me system wide default handler of this mimetype" ...

This means ( most time efficiant way is normally ) You leave mimeTypes.rdf
(that is the file written by mimetypes editor ) as it is and re-define defaults to
Your will.

Then - here tell all files that winamp know - handle by system default = winamp.

I hope that the mimtypes winamp can handle are all in: mimeTypes.rdf.

Sorry Rapido, alain and Enaitz, that we speak so many languages - & have such a hard time to communicate - Greetings to Sweden, France and Spain.
