Build KM with DPP instead of npnull

The default netscape/gecko plugin (npnull.dll), which is responsible for giving you the little broken icon and telling you to download a plugin when you don't have one to play an embedded file, is really useless. All it ever does is send you to a generic and outdated plugin links page. It should be replaced with Default Plugin Pro DPP provides several options for saving the file, copying the address, viewing it by itself, and several options for finding the right plugin to play it with.
DPP is distributed under GNU, so there shouldn't be any legal issues to deal with.

So sorry to revive such an old & forgotten thread, but I have been using this plugin since I got knowledge of it, precisely via this post. surprised smiley

My question is wether or not this is considered compatible with recent Geckos?

I still use the plugin with 1.5.x.

K-Meleon for 1.9 also recognizes the plugin.
But it is invisible & therefore unusable / guess this means it does not work sad smiley

Test: A basic html file that usually calls DPP on K-Meleon 1.5.x and lower.

This "rebel.snafu" was just some renamed midi that I like, chose Your own. The extention "snafu" is intended to prevent the use of plugins that know midi. If by chance WMP is responsible for midi. Use another mimeType that WMP does not know. The same for any other plugin. The snafu file is in the same folder as test.html.
