I noticed that the bitmaps were in 8bit colour only? Whats up with that?
Hmm.. the bitmaps are 16x16 pixels right now. That's 256 pixels, so an 8-bit image can hold one RGB colour in its palette for every pixel.
Simple answer: you don't NEED more than 8-bit colour for the current image size.
actually, it's all moot now... the new toolbar thinger can use 24bit images, if you want it to.
