I would like to add a thread here in development to talk about settings that either stay the same from KM 1.5.4 or change for KM 1.6.xxx.

If this is the wrong place to do that, then kindly delete it and I'll start to ask these kind of questions elsewhere.

To start, much discussion in the past over how to setup the caches in KM. One solution, offered by Guenter, suggested that the 2 caches should be identical in size.

For example, in KM 1.5.4, I have both memory and disk caches set at 8 Megs. I see that the default in KM 1.6 pre-beta is 4 megs for memory and 32 megs for disk cache.

Any thoughts?

I set 1.5.4 caches at Mem 16MB, Disk 32MB. Each browsing session is often much different than the previous resulting in different pages being cached during each. So I figure the Disk cache should be larger to accommodate additional data.
I guess I could be mistaken but this seems to make sense. Well, to me anyway.

Any other thoughts on the matter out there in cyberspace?
