You could not know. The sqlite files are present (but they are unused).
So far K-Meleon 1.6 items still uses the old system and files.
It has some pros - e.g. does not need Speedy Fox to compact sqlite data
Guenter,
I'm still uneducated when it comes to SQLite files in FireFox using the Gecko 1.9.xx engine. Below is what I've gotten so far.
FireFox uses sqlite for the following files:
content-prefs
cookies-prefs
downloads
formhistory
permissions
places
search
signons
urlclassifier3
webappsstore
place-sqlite-journal
Some of these files are integrated with each other, as in history and bookmarks. Others?
FormHistory I think (but am not sure) integrates with passwords?
Stories circulate about Firefox SQLite files increasing rapidly in size to 100s of Gigabytes. Some of this is probably due to the use of favicons and allowing FireFox to use its default settings which include checking with Google's Whitelist and Blacklist and I believe, checking in with Google's search dBase, (again not sure).
To have your history, passwords, cookies, searches intermingled (in ways I don't understand yet), seems like a privacy and/or security issue.
