You should add an off-topic forum, so that way people can talk about things that actually matter, like girls, and real life.

In my opinion, this is a Kmeleon related forum. If you want off-topic forum, go somewhere else.

I like it here since here are we are not talking about politics and are not shouting one over another like on other forums I am member of where you can get kicked out of forum just because you do not like football club the moderator likes.

Well, moderators will ultimately decide ...

I totally agree panzer, this is one of the few forums where people don't get shouted at or excluded from for futile reasons - in fact it's one of the friendliest forums I know, let's keep it that way.
It is also one of the most helpful (another one being donationcoder).

Note that the link added by Ezri points to his own forum.

Its Ezri's signature - if You do not want this as signature -> complain.

IMO things posted with each post should be of relevance for the project or (plus ?) posted by PPL that substantially contributed to the community/project.

Software recensions, jokes... are already part of General. I personally do not need an extra forum for topics forum users managed to accommodate in an orderly fashion?

That's me who have deleted the thread.

Nothing in the text talks about K-Meleon, just an address which refers to his site.

I have not to judge his site and his signature, but it's obviously just a post to refer to his site, and not to talk about K-Meleon.

It's just spam, and I'm about to delete this thread too, as I can't delete the signature on this thread...

That serves/counts as complaint.

Absolutely. The point is, that he's not the least bit interested in this forum here, or k-meleon!! And certainly not the people. All that he does here is advertise his own forum, trying to get more people to visit it!
It would be different if a long-time member who made friends here would like a little off-topic chat, but if a complete stranger comes in forum where he doesn't know anyone, and where he doesn't have any interest in the forums focus, and the sole reason for his postings is to advertise his own forum, then this is usually called SPAMMING. And one can bet that he does the same in dozends or hundreds of other forums!

True again, I checked this person's profile : it says he has posted 15 times whereas if you do a search on his username there is only the one post above - strange, another php mystery...

No mystery, php counted the posts, You found only this 1 smiling smiley

alain and me deleted the rest.

p. s. IMHO Ezri can have his OT thread about games.

Why here???
He has his own forum with lots of empty threads for that.
And there are sure thousands of special game and girls forums out there.
Not enough for him? It makes no sense, except for spamming.

Just a few of the forums where "Ezri" (bot or person) signed up recently:

http://www.rouseindahouse.com/members/ezri.html
(Ezri banned, one can guess why)

(Ezri banned for spamming)

http://forums.cncden.com/showthread.php?p=407766
(Ezri banned, they even suspect it's just a spam bot because his postings make no sense)

Reply to Ezri from a real member:

Interesting. It appears that this exact quote, right down to the comma, capitals, wording and structure, has been posted on several other forums. I discovered this after a quick Google search... I do hope you aren't trying to spam all of these forums, Ezri. That wouldn't be very nice.

Looks like this guy's stated goal in life is to be a one-man virus. Persistent and self replicating.

Post by Ezri himself/itself:

I love Kaddi Kuhlewind! That is all.
It should be noted that Kaddi is a SS Free ( http://s1.zetaboards.com/strikesback5/index/ ) staff member, as you can see here: http://ssfree.wikia.com/wiki/SS_Free#Kaddi_Kuhlewind
p.s.s.
Anyone who reads this, please, follow my example and post a lot of new topics to help this place out. If you are a guest and viewing this, then please, create an account and follow my example (but make sure they are good topics; in other words, don't post anything I wouldn't post).

He posted the same here:

Reply from a real member:

Hello Erzi,
I understand that this is the off-topics section of the forum, but large quantities of unrelated threads may still be taken as a spam of our forum... Do you share the interests of others in the forum in the development and use of Virtual humans and related such things...? If not, there are plenty of "social" websites out thee where you may find others that share your interests and ideas.

He posted the same here:
http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:VGMitQe-GVcJ:www.neoseeker.com/forums/18/t1419694-love/+ezri+forum+spam&cd=17&hl=en&ct=clnk

Reply from a real member:

So basically you created an account on neoseeker just to advertise.... what, another forum? And you're asking other people to spam up neoseeker forums to help you advertise? How many times must this be said? It's against the Neoseeker site rules to do that.

(Ezri spammer, topic deleted)

Reply from a real member:

Calling you out Ezri. You have only one post that I've seen that doesn't contain spam! Totally ridiculous the amount of spam you post here on Theopia! If you can't be just a regular member here and just join in on general conversations like the rest of us then take a hike.

Discussion among real members:

Ok, my bad. But it looks pretty much like a typical spambot scenario. Give the readers something they might be interestet in and provide lots of links to weird pages without any real content but ads.

http://www.stopforumspam.com/

Note that there are also special game forums among those!
And quite a few suspect it's just a bot, because his postings sound so and make no sense, other than advertising.
There are lots more hits on google, but hope its enough....

He doesnt have the slightest interest in the subject of this forum, ONLY comes for advertising!

Got 'im !
In case this still interests someone I checked his email address on Pipl.com
and there you can see his name, address etc. : he was born in 1992 and lives in High Ridge, Missouri, USA etc....

Traces, traces... he's all over the place, check the "more websites" link at the bottom of the page.

And thanks for the Stop Forum Spam link, I didn't know of that site.

Ezri > Anonymous when the user name was deleted for adding an unwelcome signature again.
Any new, future user linking to Ezri's place will also be deleted.

p.s. It was IMHO warning enough when a moderator (I) deleted the signature.
