On the other hand, upon reading a bit closer, those american laws are just a crime themselves again:

Basically the same as saying, everything that's not owned by an American, does not belong anyone, and everyone can freely steal it! It's only foreigners, so who cares... Just like that google book thing, scanning and putting whole libraries openly in the internet, stealing the copyrights of the authors, who have no chance to do anything about it.
And then poor Americans keep complaining that all those evil foreigners who get nothing but good things and support and charity from them are so ungrateful and they must all be treated like probable enemies *rolleyes*
