No XP support for IE9?
XP users are stuck with IE8 which is except for questionable SunSpider results the least performant current browser.
2010 Win7 Vista Win2003 WinXP W2000 Linux Mac
February 13.0% 14.4% 1.4% 58.4% 0.6% 4.6% 7.1%
That currently cuts out more than half of MS OS clients systems. MS really wants to pressure for its new OS7 by denying hardware accelerating updates and thus next, new IE9 to XP.
BTW. Found while reading about IE9.
Dean Hachamovitch hopes developers will start testing for the capability, rather than for the browser, so that content will work across browsers.
So are K-Meleon users and devs hoping for a long time. See: A letter to Hotmail
and recent & past Youtube posts, just to mention two pages where MS has influence and shares.
Common sense becomes so easy when the monopoly starts to wane
