Just curious - which button size do you prefer?
Klassic and Phoenity are 16px, Phoenity-Large 24px, for others it's simply the height of the image-bands in the skin-folder. Example the ZOOMCOLD.bmp, but NOT the menu.bmp, because this is for the drop-down-menus and always small.

Really depends on the user's screen resolution and skin choice. My screen resolution is 1280 by 1024, so 24,24 is still relatively small. Also, for some skins, like KT3 for example, the 24,24 version uses smaller images(18,18) within a circular 3d-ish frame, so it looks smaller than the numerical size would suggest.

Agreed. IMHO screen resolution beeing the decisive factor.
Quote guenter Most extra skins I have found are 24pixel size. This may have to do with the fact that it is IMHO harder to create good 16pixel skins icons.
Very true!

That screen resolution sure is a most important point! And sure 24px-icons can be far prettier, as I noticed a couple times when playing with my skin buttons.
But it's really complicated with the "felt" size of buttons... My ancient everyday computer has 1024px on 14", and 24-buttons are way too big for it. A vista notebook has 1280px on 12", and 16-buttons are so tiny you nearly need a looking glass. So I thought it's logical, 73px/inch versus 106px/inch, that makes a world of a difference! Until I copied the same KM-folder on a little netbook, 1024px on 10", and was kinda confused: Makes a relation of 102px/inch, so the button size impression should be much closer to the vista, but to my big surprise, the "felt" size of the 16-buttons is okay, almost like on the 73px/inch old box!

With the resolution my 17" monitor is set for (out of habit), I prefer 16px.
Basically I could also raise the resolution to 1280x1024 Pixel on my old work whore machine as well and in this case I would have to use 24px.
However 24px should be suitable for most users IMO.
For me it really depends upon the skin's design. For Early Blue I think it is 24 and that is ok, but I don't notice these things too much. I only keep around Early Blue, Klassic and Phoenity in the skins folder (the rest are zipped up and used when I feel the need).
