This is a preview version of how K-Meleon could be without title bar.

The toolbar will integrate a system shortcut for minimize/maximize , close and restore the window. Drag any blank place on the tab bar will move the window.

Thanks to Dorian, this idea could be fulfilled.

Apparently to start the version mfc90u.dll is needed. Is it save to download VC2008fetaurepack if your computer is running Windows XP SP 2?

Just rebuilt it with Static MFC library and now you might not need the mfc90u.dll file

Thx a lot, everything is working fine now - but now I can open it, on the speedial list I see the following : no icons, but the text:

What does that mean? And how can I get thumbnails like in the previous versions?

For the rest: I am rstless happy with this version. Wow, what a speed.

speedial function is using websnapr.com service. For some reason, you IP domain is using too much bandwidth from them? I 'm not sure.

Really cool feature. I like to have as much screen space as possible for websites, but would it be possible to run the browser with the Windows task bar visible?

Bonus question: Is it possible to remove the 3d window frames on each side of the window when in maximized mode? They get narrower when you go into fullscreen, but they're still there.

Maximize into fullscreen mode. I 'll see whehter I can make the taskbar visible in the next version.

One solution is to change the web snap service, you can manually modify this file:

speeddial/speeddial_files/variaveis.js

and change

Thx for the solution for the speeddial thumbnails - everything is working now. Just now I came across a small bug: when I send a mail via gmail it is impossible to attach a file. Is that so with everybody?

All K-Meleon based on GRE 1.9 will not work with 9.x. It is the price for Cairo.
Cairo has features not supported by 9.x. The new compilers AFAIK also exclude win9x.

p.s. No idea whether any workaround e.g. using GTK+ or new script engine but old layout engine and compiler for Windows 9.x exists.

I have this problem but with Firefox 2.0.0.X and Yahoo. But work fine with K-Meleon.

Are you checked JavaScript and cookies are enabled?

But this change is in k-meleon.exe (window properties in winOS) not in GRE 1.9 (web render engine), it is?

IMHO It is the same story as the change from GRE 1.7 to 1.8.

Dorian can apply the change also to 1.5.2 for GRE 1.8. But who else knows how & has the time? Maybe it is sufficient to recompile against 1.8 SDK?

p.s. I started it in a standard K-Meleon 1.6 test environment with 1.9
The exe is only named 1.5.2.0 internally - it is a 1.6. Probably the latest.
