I've not gotten a chance to remove the option "show background." During the time that it occurred, I closed kmeleon ccfme, and the problem reappeared after relaunching the browser. I relaunching the browser several times, and it reappeared every single time. However, the problem went away after rebooting the system. It has not reappeared since.

A similar, rare fault was observed before - If You find a way to reproduce, post it.

Else - if it is random like it was in the more distant past and if it has no way to reproduce - this bug must stay unfixed. The "Cannot be reproduced finishes all activity".

Regarding Silverbird skin problem:

I found something interesting by just renaming the silverbird skin folder.

The problem of "URL drop-down" button reappeared again all over as the background of silverbird skin. This time, rebooting the system would not help.

I downloaded the new silverbird skin from kmeleon website and renamed my old silverbird skin folder to "silverbird1". However, the new silverbird skin still have the same problem. I changed the skin preference from silverbird to silverbird1 and the problem disappeared.

I renamed my new silverbird skin folder from "silverbird" to "silverbird2" and renamed my old silverbird skin folder from "silverbird1" back to "silverbird". I then chose the skin preference as "silverbird", the problem reappeared. However, when I chose the skin preference as "silverbird2", the problem disappeared.

This time, I delete one silverbird folder, so there is only one silverbird folder in the skin folder. If the silverbird folder name is "silverbird" and choose its skin preference, the problem reappeared. If I rename the silverbird skin folder to "silverbird1" and choose its skin preference, the problem disappeared.

So, It seems like the name of the folder "silverbird" is causing the problem. By renaming the folder to something else, the problem goes away.

Your problem seems a little error in some Lua macro code that use silver skin name and this isn't updated.
You can found it when you rename your silver skin folder and then search for "silver" string in Lua macro files.

The latest version k-meleonccfme .091 still crashed at www.jpost.com. It crashed when using the backward and forward buttons. Although, forward button would crash with a few repeats. However, backward button would crash with just one click.

Can't give this version (0.91) a passing grade. Positive side - it is fast; the skin is very attractive. Negatives - it crashes on exit. The Favicons and the Bookmarks are not being read correctly. Many of the favicons are too dark to see. Not sure that the proxy is working properly (I use it to catch cookies and for some reason it isn't doing so). Because it crashes on exit, especially the Personal tool bar was overwritten. By the time I fixed it, closed down and started over, it would crash on exit again, and so I was not able to test it further. It brought up the pages to various sites beautifully and very quickly - however, it would always crash when shut down whether it brought up the message from Windows if you wanted to send this crash to Microsoft or it didn't bring up this message. It crashes on exit similarly to what Hao's early experiments used to do.

About the favicon black background problem, I forgot to put k-meleon.exe.manifest file in the folder. And the download file is already updated with this manifest file. I 'll take a look thoroughly into this crash issue.

This is sure not my day.
I had similar problems with Dorian's files.
And had hoped that it was just that I overlooked something.

R 6034 - No start. What other runtime dll are needed?

No manifest opens exe in editor of my file manager - but that is normal

All older exes tried in the GRE terminate on shutdown with error in imglib2.dll.

Exchanging the file for another from the Gecko of Luna5 does the same error.

p.s. 4 about: plugins You may have to exchange xul.css for another from the GRE 1.9 chrome version.

Yes, no pages styles but grey - but it works with his now; ||| it as solved - Must have been from my exes or that the files extracted damaged - No idea which.

I merely (still) think it was the later (I do not trust no chrome files ).

IMHO CCF should use the download home address for the newest K-Meleons as well. Economist theory says it will increase usage of both shops/variants. If that does not work for any reason IMHO best create a SF account and maybe have the joined international help forums here.

It's great to have this Chinese package available and I would like to support them to put this as official although there are still a few things need to be polished.

It's such a pity I was not able to finish my Chinese local for 1.5x K-Meleon yet. But theirs should be better than mine and it should help a lot to broadcast KM into Chinese community.
