Layer ads and K-Meleon

Hi,

what's the best way to stop those annoying layer ads sneaking in from all sides on certain pages?

Is there s.th. simlar like flash block for such ads? That would enable the user to view the ad if he wanted to, because even legimated sites use them sometimes.

I know there are several Firefox extensions, but I'm not aware of a proper way for K-M.

Thanks!

1) Disable javascript generally does it.

2) The only program I found (and it does not work for all 'layer' ads) for K-Meleon is Ad-Muncher. Unfortunately, you do have to pay a nominal fee after the 30 day free trial (one time only). The advantage is that it works with all browsers because it is installed through Windows. While there is an .xpt to install it for Seamonkey (so that you can control certain areas on the screen from within the browser), I lack the expertise to create the macro to do that.
