The answer is: Yes

You may choose either option:

1. Press F9 key - this will togggle ( turn on and off ) the display of images
2. From the Menu: Tools -> Privacy -> select Block Images

thanks.again.Sliderule.the problem with that is that all the images on the page are gone.i just want to blockout some pictures not all.what iam looking for is a content blocking option..

There is one comercial program called 'Ad muncher' and it works with K-Meleon very well too.
