I have my Bookmarks Toolbar in the top menu bar
and beside each one is a folder icon.
Is there a way to suppress these icons.
Possibly in pref.js, user.js or user.chrome?

You can hide bookmarks toolbar in menu: View -> Toolbars -> Bookmarks (unchecked it)

You can found more options for bookmarks toolbar in menu: Bookmarks -> Options...
(This open Advanced Preferences Panel)
In Bookmarks Toolbar tab you can unmark "Enable Bookmarks Toolbar" option.

In K-M 1.02 and 1.1 versions only bookmarks in your "Personal Toolbar Folder" are showed in toolbar, if you don't like any bookmark are showed you can empty your "Personal Toolbar Folder". If you don't selected any "Personal Toolbar Folder", all Bookmarks folders are showed.

i downloaded webfetti to my computer to get myspace layout and now there are new icons on the tool bar. how can i remove them its makinmy computer crazy and i need to remove them before my dad finds out wat i did and then kills me.. please help me

if you mean favicons for every bookmark entry(so that all bookmarks share same skin default icon), then you'll need to uncheck cache icons on disk in preferences> cache



if you mean removing all icons beside a bookmark; that is a bookmark is just text without an icon; then do this:(after doing previous step)
go to your skin folder, if you're using default kmeleon skin, go to this folder:
\K-meleon\skins\Phoenity

or if you're using another skin e.g called blahblue
\K-meleon\skins\blahblue

find the bookmarks.bmp file and rename it to bookmarks.old or anything and restart kmeleon
