first of all k-meleon is a great web browser.

concerning the new yahoo mail, it seems to fork fine until now with seamonkey user agent.

Server problem?

I cannot enter my yahoo mail box

1.) Make sure You have right password and all.

2.) With k-meleon (and some other gecko browsers) You have to change User Agent String to Firefox.

3.) If both does not help? - yahoo can have a server problem (which will go away after some time).

Can you log onto Yahoo site, not the mail? If you can logon to site but not see mail, perhaps there is something in cache that could interfere with mail. Try EDIT - PREFERENCES - NETWORK/PREFORMANCE - CACHE and clear both the memory and disk cache. This is a long shot and I do not know if it will help or not, but will not hurt to try.

Is your KM browser set to use Yahoo mail. See the site under my signature and note item in the index for Yahoo mail. If you see adds in site the first item in the index will describe a method to "non-display" them.

could be blocked in hosts file

open your hosts in notepad, search for any entry with yahoo or mail.yahoo.com etc and delete it

location of hosts file
windows 98, 95, me: c:\windows\hosts
windows xp,2k, vista : c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

Clear the cache of Your browser - that is the most common source for such hickups.
Besides that, a server can be down for a while. Wait maybe 20 minutes that usually resolves the later.

I know little about the messenger. I hope nobody stole Your identity.

Probably best to use sirias links on that.

oops - the second link should AFAIK end with k-meleon. And will hopefully guide You to the answers in this forum.

Uhm no, sorry, it should NOT, that was the point of it Those people dropping in this thread look and sound like they use the google-lucky-search and are looking for direct yahoo support...

Sorry I thought it was intended to guide a possible K-Meleon user.

Just my impression, but to me it looks very much like nearly all askers on the last pages would rather think "K-Mellwhat??" And many tips are all there long since multiple times in this thread, but they don't even bother to read a bit of the already existing replies. No they just hit the first hit in google and don't care at all where they land, or perhaps some even think that magically the first hit always has to be the "best" hit for a question. Some sound very much like they really think this were the yahoo company here, that maintains their emails! And why flip back and read just a bit, phew, way too bothersome. They don't want to try anything themselves, all they want is to get those stupid yahoo people who messed their access somehow to let them in again, to fix their account or server software. Sorry but...

For real KM users IMHO another thread would do too, and weren't there a couple other yahoo posts too? Just with a less "google optimized" subject line appearing a hundred times in the thread? :-/
