This thread is for the problems that yahoo.mail is constantly causing because it does not recognize K-Meleon as a compatible browser.

Set Your K-Melon to identify as Firefox 2.0.0.8 or newer, activate Cookies and JavaScript (if You switched these functions off), then go to Yahoo.mail enter Your identity and password - This way You can enter Your yahoo.mail account and retrieve and write mail (if Yahoo mail server is not down!).

You can go to I forgot my password. You gave a identification answer - they will ask You that.

If You forgot that also AFAIK there is no help.

can not view my mail

I cannot access my Yahoo mailbox; I keep getting Error Message 1. I have reported this many times but the problen remains unresolved. Yahoo have acknowledged my complaint but cannot provide a fix. Friends who work in IT have warned me there are massive problems with Yahoo: (1) It is not compatible with Windows XP. (2) It is very insecure and easily hacked. (3) Emails are regularly delivered to the wrong recipient, even though correctly addressed. (4) Yahoo is one of the slowest services on the internet. I'm using hotmail again - reliable, secure and fast. I've messaged all my contacts and told them to only mail me on hotmail.

It's related to "https". Not working for mail.google.com either. Tried everything from this topic, and it's not working. So may be a k-meleon bug.

Sorry, it was my mistake, Anyway I noticed that ssl setting is different from http (first time I supposed that the proxy settings are for all the protocols). Is working fine.

I spoof as IE 6.0 with JavaScript and Cookies enabled and have no problem logging in to Yahoo Mail Classic.

The lack of answers indicates that none of the k-meleon forum answers PPL can insert passwords and the like for You. During yahoo setup You created fall backs in case You forgot the password. Click forgot password and go throught the process. If no success there is no other way back: then create an new account and make sure that You save the password e.g. as a comment in a bookmark / I keep spare password data in browser bookmarks and in a special old mail in my local thunderbird.drafts.
