After adding new filters, you need to open the adblock preference and disable/enable adblock to make it take effect, or you need to restart K-Meleon. It 's not perfect at this moment, but it filters ads very well.
This is sweet, adblock works when browser is re-started. accept site images always goes back to accept all images. I'll test it more when I get back.........Thanks Hao
And here is some news for next version. Thanks to Dorian for his continous progress.
Dorian will release his K-Meleon for Seamonkey 1.0 which have many fixes and new functions hopefully next week.
And here is the release notes for K-MeleonCCF 0.04 RC1
[Release Notes]
+ Gecko 1.8 Final
+ New core exe
+ support downloading to unicode character folder
+ (possibly) Unicode version
+ New layer plugin which supports favicon (KMA 1.0)
+ Firefox 's adblock extension added
+ Many more fixes
@Guenter,
Sorry, maybe last time I was not clear. Take a look at the languages.cfg file inside the default/profile folder. For translation using dlls, Dorian's still working on it I think.
This is definitely the best version ever (in my opinion). I haven't had one single problem with it at all, so far. Everything works great (except the problem with the wrong dialogues coming up in preferences, which i'm sure you know about)!
Keep it up, Hao! Mmm.. I'm also absolutely in love with this Nuvola skin.
I've customized it and modified it about as much as I'm going to... and now... it's my ideal browser.
Oh yes... Suggestion(s):
1. Either integrate the AdBlock menu with the Ad Block menu in Tools or just move AdBlock inside of the Tools menu.
2. Add a "Toggle AdBlock" preference inside of the AdBlock menu (I find it helpful to have it there). Since you already have the macro from the AdBlock toolbar, all you have to do is just simply add the entry. Here's an example of where I placed it:
I found K-Meleon much to my liking. However, I would like to be able to specify the application to use instead of Internet Explorer when "View the page in IE" in the context menu is clicked. I can easily specify this using IEview extension in FireFox e. Please advise how I may change this in K-Meleon.
Is there any indepth or advanced guide on K-Meleon?
Have a nice day!

PS: How to enjoy vacations economically? No need to pay the normal price for hotel accommodation. I have excess room entitlement to offer at 3-4 star hotels at fractions of their promotional rates. Currently, I have chalets for auction for Christmans in a beach and spa resort in duty-free Langkawi Island, where beer, wines, etc are the cheapest in the world. For details, see http://user.auctions.yahoo.com/sg/user/roikong all in Malaysian Ringgit RM3.8 = USD1.
Oh... one bug. I've found one bug (well, at least I think it's a bug).
Okay, so... in (Tools > Preferences > General), I have it set to "Allow all windows to be resized". It doesn't work. At least not with my website.
I tried seeing if I could allow them to be resized from (Tools > Advanced Preferences), but the menu items don't exist. I have a feeling you took them out for a reason. Is there any sort of workaround for this? Do I need to have both Tabs AND Windows selected in (Tools > Preferences > Tabs)? Right now, I have it set to "Tabs only".
I went to the page above, then to the "Other Products" page, then I went back to the first page by clicking Back in the navigation toolbar.
Then I got this crash described below:

This is awesome. It's my first time to try out the K-MeleonCCF series. And I had no idea there was so many features, I've been waiting years for favicon support. Kudos to the devs, this looks like a worthy candidate for K-Meleon 1.0. But I see one small problem with it. There's a little bit of whitespace on the tab bar, which makes the rest of the toolbar look taller than usual. Is there a fix in the works?
No problem, Hao. I'll make sure to report any other crashes I have... which reminds me:
I had another crash earlier today, but I had to go somewhere, so I didn't get a chance to report it. I can't remember exactly what caused it, but I know it happened while I was on http://magnatune.com/ .
I think I went to the FTP site and tried clicking on something and it crashed. Maybe I clicked on... umm... 17.573. Yes, I believe that was the file I clicked on which caused it to crash. I'm not positive though
Anyway, here's the crash report:

I tried the canvascape site, it works fine with 0.04 beta3 Chinese version. I will try English version later but it should work fine. When using arrow keys, it shows fine.
Hao, I was trying out your KM package when I found that there was no License.txt there. I wonder if you put it somewhere in one of the subdirectories (in which case I suggest you move it to the root directory), because if you really didn't include it, I believe that is violating K-Meleon's license (GNU GPL) as well as Mozilla's (GPL/MPL/NPL or something like that).
Other than that, this package seems to be quite nice. I really like Dorian's improvements (I've noticed the tabs, the sidebar, and the various new, native dialogs(!)) but for the fact that both Groups macros don't seem to work :-D . I'm thinking of working around the problem by making my script do ID_TAB_NEXT repeatedly and store the URLs until it comes to the original URL, but there are two problems to that: (1) if there are two identical URLs loaded in a window, the script will stop at the second one, and (2) it's gonna look really ugly, what with the constant next-tabbing.... Oh well, I can still use the Layers plugin if I really need it.
That's kind of my fault. I 'll put the license.txt in the root folder next time. Groups macro is working but not complete at this moment. it's using lua macro plugin and kind of very nicely, since it will popup a window to let you choose which group you want.
To use the group:
1. creat a group
2. add the tab into the group
3. To load the group, choose the group from the popup window
Hm.. so we have to add the pages one by one. Yeah, that sounds correct, because groups.save(addthis) does not require the Layers plugin (and I see you worked around the load() function so it doesn't use Layers :-).
Perhaps I need to make a more Dorian-friendly version of the macro..
