I don't think I understand your question. Would you mind restating it in a different way or giving an example of where you've seen the behavior before?

Found this in menus.cfg
&Exit\tCtrl+Alt+F4 = ID_APP_EXIT
Found this in accel.cfg
CTRL ALT VK_F4 = ID_APP_EXIT
There might be a minimize app command

AFAIK, there is not a way to minimize the window... although I think that would be a nifty thing to add. I would imagine that it wouldn't be TOO difficult, but I am not a programmer.

I was thinking about this and scribbled this macro.
####### boss key macro ######
BossKey{
id(ID_NAV_HOME); # Load Home page
# Clean up my footprints
# clean up where I've been
plugin(privacy,ClearHistory);
# what I've seen
plugin(privacy,ClearCache);
# be embarasing if autocomplete dropped down with a porno site address
plugin(privacy,ClearMRU);
# Cookies like xxxsex-tracker could be embarassing
# plugin(privacy,ClearCookies);
# Passwords
# plugin(privacy,ClearSignon);
}
In accel.cfg :
CTRL X = macros(BossKey)
Tested 10-06-05
By the way that id(ID_ was a hard earned little gem.

One little problem, Hao's & Dorian's & Fred's latest builds, based on Dorian's fabulous work, don't use k-meleon's history manager. The privacy plugin won't erase the history.dat file.
Since k-m is accessing the history.dat file it can't be deleted because it's in use.
There is no current way to clear history in these builds unless k-m is exited and another program deletes history.dat.

I know this is evident, but, have you tried simply to press ALT + F4 at any time?

and Strg + ALT + F4 if more than one window is open.

I believe it's not the same to CLOSE or to HIDE (minimize) KM...

If your keyboard is one that has the WINKEYs on it, the WINKEY + M will minimize the window to the task bar. Actually all open windows will be sent to the task bar.

You don't need a boss key in K-Meleon. K-Meleon not is for wash your dirty dishes.
You can found over 200 aplications for set a boss keys to hide windows, a lot of these are freeware and better than any other macro/plugin implemented exclusively for run with K-Meleon.
Hide windows in Free Downloads Center
Thread close, yes is it?
