K-Meleon - upgrading the gecko engine...?

Hi K-Meleon users
In K-Meleon 0.6, is it possible to upgrade just the Gecko layout engine (eg. to 0.98) without upgrading K-Meleon itself?
If it is possible, where can I download just the Gecko layout engine? The download at Mozilla.Org is for the entire browser.
Also, from the file system, is there a way to find out which version of Gecko layout engine that is installed?
Thanks

Tiny,
The short answer is No, you can't upgrade just the Gecko engine. The code base changes between Mozilla 0.9.5, which 0.6 is builf on, and 0.9.8 don't allow you to run K-Meleon 0.6 on the 0.9.8 codebase.
