Regarding some discussion about displaying bmp-s in K-Meleon, I wrote to Jason Summers, who has developed the nice bmp plugin for Netscape. Here's what he answered about my question that the right-click menu in his BMP Plugin works for Opera but does not work for K-Meleon:

-----------------
(Quoted text):

I see what you mean. Apparently, WM_CONTEXTMENU messages are not
reaching the Webbmp plug-in for some reason. I notice that the menu
_does_ work in full-page mode (if you browse directly to a .bmp
document). I'll look at this some more later, but simply adding "case
WM_RBUTTONDOWN:" at around line 907 of npwebbmp.c would probably
fix/workaround the problem.

I can't tell from your emails whether you're aware that Mozilla has had
native BMP support for a couple of months now (despite my
objections...). Won't K-Meleon eventually inherit that support?

Sorry, I messed up the links again. I promise I'll give up using <a href>. The correct links are:

Hi,
I use quicktime to see bmps in my km, After installing quicktime plugin, you can configure quick time and ask it to take care of bmp and many other image, video and audio formats.

I don't like QT very much for several reasons, one of them being that it tends to include many filetypes in one plugin file, so the use of plugins cannot be managed as much as I'd like to. I am not using QT and I prefer smaller plugins (not being some 9MB and not coming with a blind installer that can mess up my registry any time). I don't like Real Player either but QT is something I can do without.

I don't like Quicktime because it steals files from other plugins/the browser. for example it snatches up .png, which is otherwise handled natively in NS 4
