Cache File Type

I have been usine K-Meleon for a few weeks, and, find I really like it, and, want to say, thanks for the efforts.

When K-Meleon is writing files to the cache directory (hard disk), the file name does NOT include a file type, such as: .jpg .gif, .htm etc.

Is there any way to have this 'feature or capability'? Are the file names added in such a way, that, they could be 'converted' based on a file name?

I am interested in this 'feature' so if I want to open a cache page in another programme, such as, graphic viewer, or, audio file, I would have an idea what programme goes with which files. Gracias

That's not how Mozilla writes the cache, but you can view the file listing with about:cache?device=disk

Well, it seems that doesn't work as a link, but you can type it in and it works fine.
