Modern theme

Few hours of pixel crunhing in the morning and behold - "Modern" theme for K-M, imported from Mozilla. Did this mainly for my own use since I somewhat dig Mozillas Modern look.

Preview before trying:
<a href="http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/img/look/modern_full.png">http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/img/look/modern_full.png</a>;
<a href="http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/img/look/modern_custom.png">http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/img/look/modern_custom.png</a>;
Buttons include: new window / back / forward / stop / reload / home / print / search.
Buttons are at original size, I didn't feel like resizing them at the moment since I only use row for all the stuff (second screenshot). Perhaps I'll do version with smaller buttons too but for now this feels more authentic. Toolbar background included, also true to Modern look. I had to change seach button since to fit it in with other buttons. Print button, however was pretty cool in the first place so I left it as is.

I didn't do small icons for menus because I myself don't use them. If requested, I can add those, though. Also, hover (hot) bitmap color is green tint, perhaps not the best choice and proabably I'll change it soon.

Anyway, you can get it here:

Sven,

Cool! I had just worked up a theme using the Sullivan theme from the Aphrodite browser project that has round buttons too. Actually, now that I look at it, I wonder if they cribbed those for the Modern theme, they look very similar. I was about to get Po to make me some small buttons. I'll try to add mine up too.

kodunupp on tegelt inkluuditud aga mul välja kommenteeritud, et ruumi kokku hoida smiling smiley

Andrew -
I'm planning to do other color variants of the Modern as well. I kinda like round buttons and soft stuff. Buttons could be a bit smaller I guess, but I'd have to re-create them by hand to get good quality. I put this together to just test how they sit up there. More will follow as soon as I get urgent projects off my neck.

Talking about toolbars, Sven's theme inspired me to make another variation of the toolbar I once drew. I also used his background (Sven, hope you don't mind if it is included there, let me know if you mind smiling smiley

Normal preview is <a href="http://www.bahamapress.org/andres/preview.png">here</a>;. Active (hover) colour preview is <a href="http://www.bahamapress.org/andres/actpreview.png">here</a>;. And if anybody wants, the toolbar (zip) can be downloaded from
<a href="http://www.bahamapress.org/andres/chamgrey.zip">http://www.bahamapress.org/andres/chamgrey.zip</a>;

Just another exercise (I am a beginner in drawing), sorry for wasting the forum space.

This is probably a good time to mention the new "resources mailing list": http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/kmeleon-resources

Lele suggested it....and as I'm not any good at creating resources, I don't think I will have too much to do with the discussions on the list, but anyone interested in kmeleon resources (graphics, toolbar configuration, menus, translations, etc) may be interested in joining.

Updated with Save / Open buttons, also updated inactive buttons bar and configuration to include all buttons. Some more tweaking and I could submit it into resources section.

Proabably I'll post link to original PSD file to resource-list so pixel pushers can have it in case the want to change anything.

Updated theme with authentic Mozilla throbber. It's included in <a href="http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/files/km_modern.zip">zip</a>; and available also separately:
<a href="http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/files/mozilla_throbber.avi">http://aab.spin.ee/kmeleon/files/mozilla_throbber.avi</a>;

It's kind of big with 92Kb in case you're picky about bytes. I couldn't get the filesize down without either removing half of the frames which in turn resulted in twice as fast replay or degrading image quality resulting in visible artifacts.
