Hi there.

Can the drop-down menus background like file, view, edit, etc, etc be change? like to make them have more of a xp/fx style.

Can i add a search field like FX have. Like the address field but for searching the web.
Is it going to be possible to change the search enging in next rel of KM ?

Can a "Mail to.." function from the menu "File" be added as default ?

BUG:
When using the search from KM it's having problems when using not english charaters like åäöñ. It does work fine if searching directly from the google.com

I probably have more questions later smiling smiley

Do you mean content or appearance?

There is a plugin in its early stages that you can use. However, it's not possible to change its engine like FFX yet.

You can do that now. Just change the engine in this pref in prefs.js or user.js via Edit-Preferences-Settings:

user_pref("kmeleon.general.searchEngine", "");]http://www.google.com/search?q=");

You can find alternative engines on this page which also explains a more efficient way of searching instead of the search bar.

Wait a minute. Are you using the rebar plugin? I don't know if you mean the background color of the main menu in toolbars or the drop-down menu background behind "New Layer", New Window", "Open", "Save As".

If you're using the rebar plugin...the main menu gets the background color of the skin. You won't be able to use the ALT+F etc... shortcuts though.

It is the plugin which allows the different toolbars to be "moved" by the user around the K-Meleon interface.

Yop, when you say "XP" style menus, are you referring to the Office XP style of menu which some other programs have incorporated? Like for example what is found on this page:

http://www.shagrouni.com/english/software/menu.html (Delphi code unfortunately, won't work in MFC).

Or this one... http://www.codeproject.com/menu/menuxp2.asp

background of toolbars is : ...\K-Meleon\skins\default\back.bmp
Replace it with a BMP of your preferred color/pattern. I use a charming light blue gradient, height same as normal toolbar in my normal resolution and only a few pixels wide. I like the calming effect when visiting frustrating websites lol.
