Any versions that don't rely on MFC?

The later the build, the better.

Making this browser Internet Explorer dependant does not seem like a good idea, since a can run it on a full-blown Windows 98 install, but not <laugh>a Revenge of Mozilla</laugh> install of Windows 98.

I don't want Internet Explorer, I don't need Internet Explorer, and I'm not about to put it back on my computer just so I can use K-Meleon.

So perhaps a K-Meleon that doesn't rely on Internet Explorer would be a nice switch, since last time I checked, Mozilla was competing with Microsoft. smiling smiley

You don't need IE You need MFC. You may need the Common Controls update for the rebar menus. As much as MS wants you to think so, system components *aren't* really IE, and you don't need IE to have them. Update both of those components (see the FAQ) and you should be good. If you''ve already done that let me know exactly what error you are recieveing.

You don't need IE. I promise. It's sort of the point of an alternative browser.
