I use google for alomst everything. Is there a way to display to viewed links in a highlighted color so I don't jump back and forth to the same information?

There is and there isn't.
We can give you the preference setting for that from Mozilla but we don't currently have a way of enabling the "history" fuction to make this work. It was working in 0.5 so we just need to work out the workaround to make that happen. It's a bug with embedded versions of Mozilla.

I still get nothing. I copied appcomps.dll and mork.dll to c:\programfiles\k-meleon\components, copied the "user_prefs" settings directly from the website to my .js file and deleted the reg file.
Any thoughts?

What OS are you guys using?
This seems to work on Win2K but not Windows98. No idea why so I'm going to check with the developers to see if they have any ideas.

how does this historie function work. is there a listing of the visited urls in memory or does k-meleon check the disc-cache?

if i can recall, from back when it was working in the last release, it creates a history.dat file, or something similarly named.

Hey guys,
Looks like I didn't post up the correct version of the appcomps file. Download the files from here again and let me know if you get it working:

now that this is working again, i've got a 'view history' macro set up to open the history.dat file in notepad... the file seems to keep a lot of information, regarding last visit, number of visits, etc. , but it's human-readability leaves something to be desired. maybe someone can bang together a plugin to parse this thinger? it doesn't look like it would be too hard... or is such a plugin eventually going to become part of the stock k-meleon distribution?
anyway, viva!

Po,
Is that an improvement request?

well, a history function has been requested plenty of times already... in fact, i think someone said they were working on it. i guess maybe it's a suggestion for a third-party interim measure... is there a category for that? ;-)
