Why no 'cancel' option in Preferences (F2) window

Just buttons Back, Next, Close

If I make some changes and want to undo them before committing I can't as there's no Cancel button. Even worse if I accidentally select some options because the 6-month old decided to fiddle with the keys (or the cat decided to walk over the keyboard) when I had the Preferences Window open -- once selected it's done for good.

On a lot of Windows apps you can make changes to the sub-windows but then you have options OK, CANCEL or Apply.

An oversight?

You can do a backup (a copy) of the file pref.js of your profile if you like do a lot of dangerous changes and try it, if you don't want the changes then restore the pref.js file backup.
Easy and for all family smiling smiley

The cancel option is for people that not know what they are doing. tongue sticking out smiley

Even if I agree with you, desga, I ever missed Cancel button. I don't consider a "must have", but should be there the option to cancel any mistaken change, even if I know what I'm doing as experienced, but for newbies it could be quite useful.

I would be cool a "set default values" button or something like that. Then you can mess with the options a no need to remember what was changed.

Many middle Europeans do not like a prompt like.
Do You really... Yes/Cancel...

The creator of the panel obviously wanted none.

Cancel would gain nothing for newbees.

The only sensible thing is the idea with reimport default settings. Like Bios has.
A deal You currently get by creating a new profile.

Else store the last couple of settings and have an undo.
