At http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6620_102-0.html?forumID=14&threadID=8204&messageID=95610 and http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6620_102-0.html?forumID=14&threadID=306284&messageID=2843538 I can select text and images only while the page is loading. After the page has finished loading I can nolonger select text and images. It also occrs using KM 1.5a1 except I also cannot make selections while the page is loading. I do not have this problem at other http://forums.cnet.com page I visit.

The problem only occurs using KM1.5.0 and Maxthon. I don't know about other KM version. The problem does not occur using IE6, FF2.0 or Opera9.

Does anyone here have any idea what may be causing this problem and how to fix it.

charlie, i couldn't generate that problem.. i'm able to select with kmeleon and other browsers.. some sites do however have javascripts to prevent text selection but the cnetforums doesn't seem to be one.

try this anyways, open preferences>javascript>general

and select: disallow scripts to disable context menus

restart kmeleon.. maybe this will work

Thanks, disrupted. But no luck.

cent has just reformated their site, I believe as of today. And I just noticed that the header on these paticular pages gets wierd at the completion of loading. Perhaps these particular pages lost something during the reformat regarding my account.

CNET changed their colors. I got a memo on that.

I have no trouble selecting text on their pages. I am using KM 1.5

Works to me in KM 1.5.

Same here except for those two pages. Perhaps just A hiccup in my account some how regarding thier reformat.
