Just info.
Needed to go on the HP Forum. To do this I had to use
the infamous Internet Explorer. I was Binged all over the place. Yuk.
K-meleon would not work on the HP Forum.
Sometimes we are just forced to use products we can't stand......
What version of KM are you using? Was the URL the same as this? http://h30434.www3.hp.com/
I seemed to be able to read questions and answers OK, but I did not register or sign in.

Try to create a new profile to test it.
Edit > Manage profiles > Create a new one > Check 'Ask ...' > quit > launch and test
