Reveal link url in a tool-tip

Hi!

I'm on version 1.5.4.

I've disabled the status bar at the bottom to get a little more screen area. One disadvantage is that I don't get to know the actual link contents on mouse over.

If I'm interested in a link but want to know where exactly it points to, I can right-click and choose Link Properties. In the pop-up that appears, I see the link contents with the question, "Do you want to view the linked resource now?" If I click OK, the link opens in the current tab.

My question is: is there a way to get the link to open in a background tab?

Sounds like links reveal would be the solution for you.

Hi Tooltip, the extension you mention would be ideal but I can't get it to work! I have K-Meleon 1.5.4 with the KM extension manager installed.

I followed your link, then right-clicked on the extension's link and let the extension manager handle the install. Even after a few restarts of the browser, I don't get the url shown as a tool-tip.

I checked via Tools, Extension Manager, and the extension is shown as installed. It is also listed as ticked in the Macro Extensions section.

I do see tool-tips when I mouse over icons so tool-tips do work otherwise.

I haven't disabled javascript. The only other extension installed (via the same extension manager is a spell-checker) works fine.

I'd appreciate any help in getting this going since it seems very useful.
