I had to change from using syncback to 7-Zip for adding the later engine. Sorry if I caused anyone trouble. It is fixed for 2.4 and later.

Copying the link from adress bar to Gmail message or insert URL in this forum with CTRL+C or with a mouse sometimes work and sometimes they don't. Even copying a link into a new post doesn't work every time.

Why 1.6.0 beta 2.4 does always connet IP 51.63.165.113 (UK Government Department for Work and Pensions) at startup?

My 1.6b2.4 only connects to 127.0.0.1 (aka localhost).

Also to have updated privacy.dll from Guenter so clear history works. Hoping to have new setdefault.exe from Jujuland.

This obviously is a good opportunity for the K-Meleon community to go resolutely forward, advancing towards its 1.6.0 version and, generally, making the product known to the larger public.

If i'm not mistaken the whole 1.6 branch uses outdated GRE because Gecko 1.9.1 (like Firefox 3.5) has already reached EOL.
So why not focus on K-Meleon 1.7? Gecko 1.9.2 should receive updates at least until April 2012.

Because the 1.6 branch can be updated by people that cannot code c++.
The relevant c++ problems have been fixed.

But You'd need a c++ coder to fix the remaining problems with 1.7.

Dorian has no time and there has not been any other c++ coder besides him interested & competent enough to contribute to K-Meleon core since K-Meleon 0.9.


Currently we can have a 1.6 update or none at all.
