See the topic. I checked the box in install yet my .html files are still opened by ie. I want to use ie as little as i can (when gecko engine doesnt' display the page)
It would be useful with a "Make k-mel the default browser" option.
I use different browsers a lot and like to make the currently used the default so it can handle urls and all kind of shortcuts from other programs (email links, whatever).
Maybe the option is hiding in a config file?
went to my html stuff and replaced ie stuff with kmeleon stuff.
(not the best thing to do really)
what i found interesting though is that once i replaced the command line, my html files still opened in ie.
so i went back and removed "use DDE" option.
after this it worked nicely. Here is a note though.
I scrolled down through all the available options for html file type and found that there was another "open" that was NOT default. i looked at that and it was kmeleon.
any idea about this? 2 open options and ie one being default? any reason the kmeleon install didn't de-default the option or something else happened?
