1. KM is pretty simple and usable... check 1.5a1
2. close on each tab?? what for dude, when you can close tabs by midlle click? dont need a search bar... the address bar is the search bar... try to write something in the address bar and just hit ENTER... a search bar is totaly obsolete and space consuming; ad blocker... dude.. have you ever heard of adblock plus? the greatest ad block plugin ever... and quess what?! it's available for KM too [url=http://adblockplus.org/en/kmeleon]link here[/url]
