When you just type g in the URL address, KM trys to go to a website called g.com, and as far as I know, there is no such website. If you type in Ctrl G, your default search engine will be used on whatever text you have put in there or highlighted text on the current webpage.

Can't say for sure what is happening, but my guess would be that your preferences need to be modified. IF you choose to close the window, you could close the browser if there are no other windows open. So you might consider the following changes to your settings by making the browser close not windows but tabs.

Edit/Preferences/Browsing/Tabbed Browsing

When closing the last tab

[X] Empty the Tab

[ ]  Close the Windows

[ ]  Confirm closing windows with multiple tabs *

Suggest not putting a check mark here as it makes you have to answer each and every time if you want to close the browser.[/quote]
